The Children's Theater Festival brings another Super Saturday to Tryon tomorrow. Performers will fill every hall in town. Tlie Tryon Hounds will meet Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at Iron Bridge. The Tryon Congregational Church will continue its 100th anniversary year celebration with a Bach Festival Sunday at 4 p.m. The concert will be directed by Joseph Erwin, min ister of music. Dr. Andy Rogers will offer a lecture on William Butler Yeats: An Irish Voice in Poetry Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Lanier Library. The Foothills/NCNB Horse Trials will be held at FENCE this weekend. On Monday, March 18, the Foothills Humane Society will meet in the NCNB meeting room. (Education in Polk (Continued On Hack Page) TRYON, N. C. 28782 Accident Claims Polk Co. Youth Charles Bryan Lookadoo, 18, of Tryon, was killed instantly Wednesday afternoon in a single vehicle accident on Hwy. 108 in Rutherford County. According to Highway Patrolman Tobey Col lins, investigating officer, Lookadoo was the driver of a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck which was traveling west on Hwy. 108 at an excessive rate of speed, lost control and crossed left striking a poplar tree. The accident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. about 2.3 miles west of Rutherfordton (near the old county home). No other vehicles were involved. Jeffrey Jones, 18 and of Tryon, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to Ruther ford Hospital where he was listed in poor condition in the Intensive Care Unit. Patrolman Collins stated that Jones was transported by helicopter to Charlotte Thursday afternoon. Polk County Rec.
